Full Survey

A full pre-purchase survey includes checking the structural condition of the vessel by using ultrasonic testing equipment, hammer testing, and by assessing pit depths, corrosion, and initial build quality etc. The inspection also checks the stern gear, engine, onboard systems and interior fit-out and normally takes a full day.

I would always recommend having a full survey carried out if you are buying a fully fitted narrowboat for peace of mind, and the cost can be normally offset against any faults found, as the price to have them rectified can normally be negotiated in with the purchase price.

When the survey is complete I will phone you and give a verbal summary of what I have found, then provide the written report by email and post with 3 working days (normally 48 hours)
